Goldfish Swim School

Goldfish Swim School is the premier learn-to-swim facility for kids ages 4 months to 12 years located in Silver Spring Maryland.  The tenant leased this property that used to be a United States Government Munitions facility and Mazzuca had the opportunity to transform this location into a beautiful indoor pool.  Extensive troubleshooting as a team was required in this 11,000 square foot facility in order to create an 80’x25’ pool with a state of the art boiler package and filtration systems that keep the pool at 92 degrees year round.  Seventeen custom, hand built wood changing huts were constructed with tin metal roofs for changing areas.  Over 150 feet of storefront glass was installed for the viewing area as well as a new storefront building entrance with a custom Hardie Board awning with new concrete steps and ADA ramps.

Mazzuca built several office offices as well as a reception desk with snack bar.  Showers, hair drying stations, epoxy flooring and restrooms were also constructed to complete the swim facility.  The amount of concrete hauled into the building was extensive considering most of it was replaced in this facility.

Ultimately, through a lot of challenges working in an existing and occupied building, The Goldfish Franchise and Mazzuca again completed a successful indoor pool!  Fantastic clients to work with and we look forward to the next one!
