Mazzuca Contracting awarded (2) Northrop Grumman Projects Totaling $4.9 Million
Mazzuca Contracting was recently selected to complete the following projects for Northrop Grumman:
New IT infrastructure upgrades for 3 floors, totaling 800,000 SF of Office, Lab and Secure Spaces.
Scope of work includes; new cable trays throughout each floor, new, renovated and expanded IT closets for fiber backbone, equipment racks, and patch panels. IT closets to receive modifications to the existing MEPS and Fire Alarm systems, new HVAC equipment, new electrical panels, and SCIF construction for the secure IT closets. New IT cabling CAT 6e will be distributed to to all office, lab and secure space users. Upon completion of the new CAT 6e distributions, the older versions of cabling and equipment will be removed from all areas where the new cabling has replaced.
The project will take approximately 1 year to complete.
New build-out of 5,400 sq. ft. secure space.
Scope of Work includes; demolition and replacement of raised access flooring, new offices, open work stations, conference rooms, mechanical equipment room, communications closet and kitchen area. Modifications, new equipment and new work to the MEPS systems that serve this room. Mechanical work includes; modifications and new work to the Chilled Water piping systems, new air handling unit, eleven (11) new VAV boxes, (1) new fan coil unit for communications closet. Electrical work includes new panels, lighting and power to serve this new secure room, and all new interior finishes for this space.
